On July 13th, 2002, the New Muslim Support Group, one of many projects sponsored by MILA, held its kickoff picnic at City Part in Denver. Both those who were born into Islam and those who accepted Islam later in life were welcomed into the group, shared their stories about Islam and accepting Islam, and enjoyed a good picnic outdoors and good company.
