Ameena Jandali has received her B.A., History, from University of Illinois, Chicago and M.A., Near Eastern Studies, from UC Berkeley. She is the Founding member and Content Development Manager for Islamic Networks Group (ING), a non-profit outreach organization that provides education about Islam and Muslims. Through ING, she has delivered hundreds of presentations in schools, colleges, universities, churches, and other venues on Islam and related subjects, and has appeared on numerous television and radio programs.
She has also been a frequent guest at conventions, seminars, and other forums, speaking on a variety of topics relating to outreach, family, and Islamic behavior. She is the editor of ING's training handbooks on outreach for American Muslims, as well as author and editor of training modules for public institutions on developing cultural competency with the American Muslim community. She currently teaches a class on Islam at San Francisco City College.
