MILA was privileged to have Tariq Ramadan as a guest speaker. Mr. Ramadan currently resides in Geneva. His most recent book is entitled "Islam, the West, and the Challenges of Modernity". Mr. Ramadan stressed the importance of community building and a comprehensive understanding of Islam and Islamic principles.

This event also allowed MILA to introduce its vision and goals to the community, as well as to present its projects to the public. In the lobby, MILA's project committee had set up booths allowing people to learn about MILA's various community building and community service projects.
